NAMI Wood County's family-friendly AfterBurn features a chili cook-off, trunk or treat, kids activities, and more!

Join NAMI Wood County for its annual AfterBurn event! This fun-filled event will take place on October 6th, 2023 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the Wood County Fairgrounds. Participants will enter Gate D for the event located in the Junior Fair Building. Families will have the opportunity to enjoy free trunk or treat, free kids activities, and a chili cook-off. Food and t-shirts will be available for purchase. Afterwards, the night will conclude with a special recovery celebration with performances from local artists. The full schedule is as follows:5:00PM-Registration 5-7:30PM- Trunk or Treat, Chili Cookoff and Kids Activities7:30-8:00PM- Recovery Celebration As always, we appreciate all the support we receive from our Wood County community, and our hope that by hosting this event, we can continue to spread mental health awareness.The proceeds from this event will help support NAMI Wood County in its mission to provide support, education, and advocacy to individuals living with mental illness and their loved ones. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the Chili Cook-off will go to the Wood County First Peer Support Team.Please note that sales are final. Refunds will be issued at the discrepancy of staff. If refund is requested after September 27th, a 15% cancellation fee will be charged to your card. Refunds can take up to 30 days to be processed.
