A ten-month series of workshops on the Mendocino coast designed to empower nonprofit teams with the fundamental skills for success and inspire a vibrant network of change makers.

Do you have board members who are unclear about their roles and responsibilities? Are your board members not as engaged as they need to be? Are you struggling with recruiting board members? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this workshop is for you!The Building a Better Board workshop will provide you with tools and insights that you can immediately apply with your nonprofit and take your organization to the next level. Learn to build a board development program that honors your mission, engages your board, and helps your board perform at its best.This workshop will explore:<ul><li>The roles and responsibilities of an effective board</li><li>How to avoid conflict of interest and other legal pitfalls</li><li>Strategies to recruit new board members</li></ul>By the end of the workshop participants will have the start of a board development work plan.Sue Haun, MA, provides training and consulting to nonprofits, for profit businesses, communities and government agencies in strategic planning, board development, fundraising, facilitation and program evaluation. For more than 35 years, Sue has worked with organizations all over California to create a strategic focus, build capacity and get results.
