Nourishing the Mother is a mini retreat for all mothers and mother-identified humans to receive nourishment, community, and love. We all know as moms we are constantly doing, giving, and going. Even when we try to be intentional with our time and actions, the very act of mothering requires so much sacrifice and selflessness. Come spend a few hours receiving nourishment. This is a community event for bringing together moms from across the spectrum to connect and commune and receive.We will start with an opening circle where we talk about the sacred nature of motherhood.Afterward, there will be tea and nourishing food, and space to share and socialize. A tarot reader will be on scene from whom you can receive a mini-reading, and a massage therapist will be on hand to give 10-minute chair massages.We will then enjoy a beautiful sound bath to relax our nervous systems while we receive a light acupuncture treatment by Tatyana Rem, L.Ac.,Ac, Tsoy Acupuncture &amp; Oriental Medicine in Silver Lake.At the close, you will receive a beautifully curated gift bag filled with yummy, nourishing gifts to pamper yourself with. Your hosts for this Nourishing the Mother event are Focus Chiropractic and Whole Mother Therapy.Dr. Kolleen Gregory has shared her Pasadena-based practice, Focus Chiropractic, with her husband, Dr. Richard Kachanon, for the past 20 years. Their focus is pregnancy and pediatric chiropractic care. Kolleen is a mother of three whose passion is to create a community for mothers, children, and families to thrive.Sepideh Hakimzadeh is the founder of Whole Mother Therapy, a virtual and Pasadena-based group practice that specializes in maternal mental health. Whole Mother Therapy offers individual and couples therapy as well as support groups for pregnancy and postpartum and an eight-week Sacred Motherhood Circle. Sepideh creates ceremonial spaces through ritual that are rooted in anceint ways to facilitate deep healing.
