BORP Adaptive Sports Expo is an event for people with disabilities and their family and friends to try out the Sports and Recreation activities offered by BORP. We are activating most of our programs with events at 3 locations across Berkeley.Come join us: Morning and afternoon intro sessions for team sports @ James Kenny Community Center; Cycling and Kayaking at the Cycle Center at 80 Bolivar Drive; Climbing at Ironworks at 800 Potter Street, and so much more! Halloween-theme face-painting, BBQ, Cornhole, Ping Pong, Pickleball, Adventures and Outing Camping display, Park Trail Information, Vendors, etc.Registration is required. BBQ meals need to be ordered in advance. This includes volunteers, family and friends. You need to sign up separately for every activity you want to do. Only sign up for one slot per activity.Take note the location of your activity. Allow for time to travel between activities if they are in different locations. There will be shuttle transit between locations.BBQ: We are pleased to be offering BBQ lunches (link to menu options). Each meal costs BORP $18, we are offering three BBQ ticket price options, a Subsidized Price, an At Cost and a Cost+ Price. We hope to break even. Feel free to bring your own lunch.Volunteers Needed! There are SO many ways to volunteer. We need people to help people on and off the shuttle at every location. We need people who are mechanically inclined, photographers, greeters, clean-up folks, aspiring refs and actual referees. Maybe you have a cotton candy machine you've been wanting to use, or a talent for making ballon animals... Pumpkin carving expertise? Face Painting skills? Bring it on. We're having a party.
