Living like Duke…inspiring young pilots one aviation scholarship at a time.The Duke Carrillo Foundation looks forward to seeing you at the Third Annual &quot;Live Like Duke&quot; Benefit on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 6:30 p.m. -11:30 p.m. at Circle R Ranch, Flower Mound, Texas. Please wear your favorite western attire and enjoy a fun night of live music by the Breckenridge Band, BBQ, open bar and dancing while supporting the Duke Carrillo Foundation. The benefit will feature a raffle with a wide variety of exciting merchandise and services. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted for raffle tickets. The “Live Like Duke”Benefit is the primary fundraiser for the Foundation and all proceeds from the event will go directly to “Fly for Duke” aviation scholarships, &quot;Live Like Duke&quot; scholarships for college-bound seniors with a family history of military service, and to the Duke Carrillo Scholars Fund at the United States Naval Academy. Duke Carrillo was raised in Flower Mound, Texas and was a midshipman at the United States Naval Academy. He passed away during training exercises at the USNA in February, 2020. Duke was an exceptional student who was pursuing a degree in quantitative economics with the goal of becoming a naval aviator. The Duke Carrillo Foundation was established to honor Duke’s legacy of academic excellence, service to community and country, and commitment to athletics; in other words, what it means to “Live Like Duke.” But most importantly, Duke wanted to fly . He wanted to be a naval aviator and eventually a professional pilot. As he was unable to achieve that goal, the Duke Carrillo Foundation is committed to financially supporting and providing mentorship to other young people who desire to achieve the same goal . We invite you to help us in our mission to develop young professional aviators in Duke’s name so they can “Fly for Duke”. We look forward to our “Fly for Duke” scholarship which goes live, November 19, 2023. Come join us in supporting the Foundation and be a part of Duke’s legacy.
