This competition presents a great opportunity for you to expand your business and establish a presence in Taipei, offering a platform for a soft-landing experience.In recent years, the Taipei City Government has actively promoted industrial transformation, focused on mastering key technologies, enhanced competitiveness, and facilitated international exchanges of innovative talents to foster the development of Taipei&#x27;s industries and innovation ecosystem. This project has attracted a significant number of international entrepreneurs to Taiwan, facilitating collaborations and exchanges with local enterprises and venture capital firms.Recognizing the opportunity presented by the current uncertain global economy and industrial landscape, the government has shifted its focus towards the development of digital health innovation. This strategic emphasis is aimed at effectively addressing the challenges of today&#x27;s world and bolstering Taipei&#x27;s influence within the international entrepreneurial community.Application criteria:<ul><li>Startup teams must be registered in the digital health industry for no more than 5 years.</li><li>The number of Taiwanese members in the team should not exceed one-third of the team&#x27;s overall structure.</li><li>The company&#x27;s product or service should offer a practical and viable solution to address digital health issues in Taipei and demonstrate potential for collaboration.</li><li>The team must have a strong and well-developed strategic plan to successfully establish or expand their business in Taipei.</li><li>Selected teams must be able to comply with the scheduled itinerary arranged in Taipei.</li></ul>Reward and incentives:After two rounds of online judging, with the selection of 6 startups, a program will be arranged for the teams to participate in activities such as Demo Day, business matchmaking, and company visits physically in Taiwan.<ul><li>The selected teams will be provided with one round-trip ticket to Taipei from their place of departure. (The organizers will collect the passport information of the team representatives and purchase the tickets on their behalf. Selected teams are required to participate in the entirety of the program.)</li><li>Accommodations in Taipei will be arranged by the organizers, with a policy of one person per room. Room types cannot be specified. </li><li>Business matchmaking and company visits will be arranged with partners and investors in Taiwan. </li><li>The organizers will facilitate subsequent resource connections and landing plans for selected teams with startup accelerators and company registration consultants.</li></ul>Obligation of selected teams:<ul><li>All selected teams must arrive in Taipei on time and participate in all scheduled agenda during their stay. </li><li>Each team is required to fill out a survey form, providing feedback and follow-up on the project and events, as well as reporting the outcomes of their collaborations with Taipei partners. </li><li>Failure to fulfill these obligations may result in the disqualification of the team from participating in Taipei Entrepreneurial Hub activities for a period of 2 years.</li></ul><h3></h3><h3>Don&#x27;t miss the opportunity to participate in this extraordinary event and successfully establish your business in one of the most startup-friendly cities in the world!</h3>▶︎ Registration open: Starting now ▶︎ Last day of Registration: September 15, 2023

Notes for the selected teams: <ul><li>All event information will be conducted in English (including all preparatory materials and presentations). </li><li>Rehearsal of online pitch contest: October 2, 2023 (Monday), 13:00 - 17:00 CST.</li><li>Official date of online pitch contest: October 3, 2023 (Tuesday), 13:00 - 17:00 CST. </li><li>Please ensure that each team logs in online 10 minutes early and avoids being late.</li></ul>Explanation of this year’s Pitch Contest theme:The purpose of this year's Taipei Entrepreneurial Hub “Win A Greater Health” Startup Pitch Contest is to invite international startup teams from the three major domains mentioned below to provide solutions for the digital health development in Taipei. The contest aims to introduce international high-quality technologies and resources to Taipei, leading to comprehensive development in the digital health technology industry for the city.According to the Taiwan Digital Health Industry Development Association, the development of the digital health industry can be divided into three major domains: digital health focused on diet, exercise, and lifestyle; digital healthcare for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation when facing illnesses; and digital care applied in long-term and home care. To participate in the "Win A Greater Health" Startup Pitch Contest, teams must meet the stated requirements provided by the organizers. Additional bonus points will be given to eligible teams, increasing their chances of being selected.

Pitch contest application process: Startups must first submit the contest application form (link below) and a pitch deck. During the 1st round, the judging panel will assess and rank the teams based on the materials they have submitted. From this evaluation, a selection of 10 teams will be made and invited to participate in the 2nd round, which is the online pitch contest. 1st round judge panel:For the 1st round of judging, we invite Mr. Arthur Chen, Managing Partner of BE Health Ventures, Mr. Jowy Tani, CEO of TMU BioMed Accelerator, and Mr. Liang-Gee Chen, Chairman of Taiwan Digital Health Industry Development Association, along with their respective teams, to collectively evaluate the application materials of the startup teams. They will select ten teams to advance to the 2nd round.

Criteria for the 2nd round (online pitch contest):During the 1st round, the judging panel will primarily focus on selecting teams based on the nature of the team itself and its product. In the 2nd round, the 10 selected teams will be required to develop market entry strategies that address the pain points in Taipei's digital health industry development, as well as outline their short-term and long-term goals. The detailed topic description is as follows:Please analyze the healthcare pain points faced by Taipei City and provide a solution based on your product and service. During your 5-minute pitch, introduce your product/service, highlight the pain points, and present your solution to the problem. The judges will then have 5 minutes to ask questions and receive answers from your team. Ultimately, six teams will be selected to come to Taiwan and participate in the Demo Day and matchmaking events.

Online Pitch Contest process:To facilitate the Online Pitch Contest, a virtual studio will be established to host the event. The selected ten teams will present their pitches in alphabetical order based on their company names. Following each presentation, there will be a question and answer session with the judges. The entire competition will be live-streamed on the Taipei Entrepreneurial Hub's Facebook page.
