Join Gavin Vella for a gentle guided walk around Llandegfedd Reservoir, taking in the sights, sounds and textures of nature around us.

Llandegfedd Reservoir - North Carpark

Join us for a guided walk around Llandegfedd Reservoir to explore the diverse wildlife that can be found there.We will start in the meadows where we will look for grasshoppers, crickets, day-flying moths and butterflies. We will move on to the shoreline where we will look for wading birds, dragonflies, and damselflies.There should be good selection of damselflies and dragonflies and a variety of bees and wasps including Long-horned Bee and Ruby-tailed Wasp.We will have a chance to see the interesting flora that grows around the reservoir including Adders Tongue Fern.The birds we see will depend on the weather but there is a long stretch of shoreline to explore for passage and breeding waders and we should see the resident Great Crested Grebes.W﻿e will be meeting at the north carpark : https://maps.app.goo.gl/wCwbwYN7NXv4GdmS8?g_st=icThere will be 2 walks on the day, 10am-12noon and 1pm-3pm - please sign up here for free if you&#x27;d like to come along.
