NFIP REGISTERED ADJUSTER AUTHORIZATION REQUIREMENTS

The NFIP requires independent adjusters seeking to renew or obtain their Flood Control Number (FCN) to attend a qualifying annual NFIP claims presentation.

Independent adjusters seeking first-time authorization, renewing an expired registration, or requesting updated authorization categories must also apply for registration by submitting an Adjuster’s Registration Application to the NFIP Standard Operations contractor. NFIP qualifications and requirements for adjuster registration may be viewed at https://nfipservices.floodsmart.gov/claims/adjuster-participation.

Adjusters not meeting the qualifications for authorization may be reviewed for inclusion in the Administrative Strategies FACP Program.

Mentees participating in the FACP program must also attend a qualifying annual NFIP claims presentation.
