How can I best prepare?

I will send you some instructions ahead of time. It's best to not eat 2-3 hours beforehand so your body can quickly absorb the cacao, and you can drop into the experience.

Are there any contraindications?

Cacao is pretty safe. The main concern would be if you're taking antidepressants. See answer to that question below. If you have any heart or blood pressure issues, please consult your doctor first. My understanding is that it's safe in small doses, but I'm not a doctor.

Is it safe if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

Cacao is generally considered safe in pregnancy and during breastfeeding when taken in moderation.

What if I'm taking antidepressants?

I've seen plenty of people who are taking them drink small doses of Cacao with no problem, but it can cause migraines. Please check with your doctor. Those on MAOI antidepressants should NOT consume cacao.
