Classical Revolution has been presenting live chamber music events in the Bay Area since 2006.Founded in the Mission District at Revolution Cafe,Classical Rev has presented over 1200 shows that have taken place in more than 120 Bay Area venues, from small clubs like Amnesia and Viracocha to larger venues like Yoshi's SF and Freight & SalvageSpecializing in performance environments closer to rock venues than concert halls,the CR modeal has spread to over 30 cties around the world.Recognition of CR's efforts have been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, the Economist, Classical KDFC, and a cover story on the 2012 SF Weekly Fall Arts Guide.

C﻿lassical Revolution String Quartet M﻿usic by Dvorak, Beethoven, MozartDoors at 4:30p, Music 5-7p1 Pinnacle Path, Berkeley CA 94708This lovely rustic private venue is situated outdoors amongst redwood trees with amphitheater-style seating.A﻿nthony Blea violinC﻿harith Premawardhana violinK﻿eith Lawrence violaL﻿ewis Patzner celloW﻿e well perform some of our favorite classical string quartet pieces, including:D﻿vorak &quot;American&quot; QuartetB﻿eethoven String Quartet in C Minor, opus 18, no 4M﻿ozart String Quartet in C Major &quot;Dissonnce&quot;----Classical Revolution was founded in the fall of 2006 with the goal of making classical music more relevant in our neighborhoods and communities.After a successful first year of weekly shows at Revolution Cafe in San Francisco’s Mission District, the organization began to receive invitations to preform at other local venues including Amnesia and the Red Poppy Art House – soon to be followed by the Legion of Honor and de Young Museum, and then places like Yoshi’s SF and Herbst Theater.In its 10th anniversary year, Classical Revolution undertook a cycle of Beethoven’s 9 Symphonies, performed at venues around San Francisco including Folsom Street Foundry, de Young Museum, Fort Mason’s Cowell Theater, and a performance of the 9th Symphony at Grace Cathedral in front of a 1000 person audience.Press articles from the New York Times, Strings Magazine, Wall Street Journal, and The Economist brought wider attention to Classical Revolution’s efforts.As interest grew outside of San Francisco, the network of chapters began to develop, with over 40 cities hosting regular Classical Revolution around the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, as well as Indonesia, Argentina, South Korea, and Japan.Over 1200 musicians have performed at more than 1500 Classical Revolution events in over 150 different venues in the Bay Area alone.Audiences enjoy the accessibility of the venues and the fun laid back approach, as well as the diversity and quality in programming.In San Francisco, Classical Revolution hosts regular events at Mission District venues as well as guest appearances around the Bay Area.www.classicalrevolution.org----This event is a BYOB and/or food. The entrance is on Pinnacle Path, which is part of the public Berkeley paths network, which is not wheelchair accessible. (several flights of stairs). There is a play area for toddlers.
