ABOUT MORVEN MUSEUM & GARDEN:A National Historic Landmark, Morven is unique in that it was home to many remarkable people. For nearly 300 years Morven has played a role in the history of New Jersey and the nation. Originally part of a 5,500-acre tract purchased from William Penn in 1701 by the Stockton family, it is the home of Richard Stockton, a Signer of the Declaration of Independence, and is the only home of a New Jersey signer which is highly interpreted and open regularly to the public. As well as serving as a Stockton homestead for several generations into the 20th century, and home to generations of enslaved men and women, Morven was home to the families and household staff of Robert Wood Johnson, Jr., and five New Jersey Governors through 1982 as New Jersey’s first Governor’s Mansion.Morven Museum & Garden showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Garden State through regular exhibitions, educational programs and special events. What’s the buzz at Morven? A new program all about bees with Maidenhead Honey Bees!

Bees are essential to supporting our ecosystem, including the many plants that grow in Morven’s beautiful gardens. Learn about these important pollinators, how they help cultivate and sustain our planet, and what it takes to maintain a hive of bees at home. The program will be led by Maurice “Moe” Cosby of Maidenhead Honey Bees and will feature a demonstration hive where attendees can safely observe the live bees. 

Honey from Maidenhead will be available for sale during the event. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in beekeeping or just looking to learn more about these incredible insects. This program is offered in-person only.
