The North Texas Semiconductor Institute (NTxSI) at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) has partnered with the Wright Brothers Institute (WBI) to help UTD accelerate semiconductor innovation, entrepreneurship, and workforce development in North Texas and the United States. With broad military and space applications, UTD&#x27;s Center for Harsh Environment Semiconductors and Systems (CHESS), led by Dr. Manuel Quevedo-Lopez, leads cutting-edge research to advance fundamental understanding of materials and devices for harsh environments.Key UTD Semiconductor Initiatives: <ul><li>Lead cutting-edge research to advance fundamental understanding of materials and devices for harsh environments. </li><li>Lead a consortium of industry and academia to expand workforce development programming.</li><li>Custom semiconductor processing and device support to assist industry with new material development and to identify root cause device issues.</li><li>Leverage expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship to assist semiconductor start-up companies thrive in this ecosystem.</li></ul>In collaboration with Wright Brothers Institute, The University of Texas at Dallas has created a Collider to understand the needs of the DoD in semiconductor technology, learn what programs are in place across the country, and hear from Subject Matter Experts in these semiconductor fields:<ul><li> Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL)</li><li>Navy Crane - NAVSEA </li><li>The University of Texas at Dallas </li><li>University of Cincinnati</li><li>University of Tennessee </li><li>Intel Corporation</li><li>And Small Business Reps</li></ul>Agenda: 1:00 PM – 1:05 PM: Welcome &amp; Introductions – Wendell Banks, President, Wright Brothers Institute1:05 PM – 1:20 PM: UT Dallas Overview<ul><li>Dr. Joseph Pancrazio, Vice President for Research and Innovation at The University of Texas at Dallas, will give a brief history and overview of this Tier 1 research university.
