“Shades of Blue” is a teen art-making workshop led by New York-based artist Ivan Forde.

&quot;Shades of Blue” is a teen art-making workshop led by New York-based artist Ivan Forde. Participants will collectively create a large-scale quilt, gain familiarity with the cyanotype process, and learn how blue as a global language creates space for reflection, meditation, and healing across visual art, poetry, and music. The final piece will be displayed on July 23 from 1-5pm at CPW’s Kingston Photography Festival where we welcome family and friends to come celebrate with the participants!<a href="https://www.ivanforde.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ivan Forde</a> is a contemporary artist based in New York City, working across photography, printmaking, collage, sound performance, and installation. Crafting new visual epic poems, often depicted in shades of blue cyanotype, Forde intertwines the personal and the global to offer a transformative view of prevailing narratives that unite us across cultures, geographies and time. Forde is the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships including the Whitney Independent Study Program (2022), the 2020 Emerging Artist Award by Baxter Street Camera Club of New York, the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans (2017), and is the PowerHouse Arts Inaugural AIR 2023.The workshop will be held at our new facilities at 25 Dederick Street Kingston, NY 12401.Above: Untitled. 2023.
