Municipalities are invited to a training on managing the growing threat of spotted lanternflies and obtaining required permits.

Four Seasons Lodge

ACCD will hold two workshops to review spotted lanternfly (SLF) identification, life cycle, quarantine and permit compliance, as well as best management practices. The event will conclude with a field walk and circle trap demonstration in collaboration with Penn State Extension and the PA Department of Agriculture. Spotted Lanternfly Management for Municipalities: This workshop is intended for Allegheny County municipal and parks staff responsible for managing public land. Each participant will receive a free circle trap at the conclusion of the workshop. Attendance is free, and light refreshments provided will be provided. Capacity for each workshop is limited to 25 participants. The first workshop on August 24th is intended for industry professionals and local businesses that produce and transport goods or travel within the county to provide services.
