Thank you for your Modern Manners for Children ticket purchase. 

Please note that there is a dress code for this event. There is no a denim policy. Please have your child wear their Sunday best outfit avoiding sweatpants, t-shirts, and baseball hats.

The Modern Manners program provides children the tools they need to navigate a complicated world with kindness, class, and confidence. This age appropriate program takes place over an elegant three-course meal and empowers children to elevate their behaviors to make others (and themselves) more comfortable. Topics include:<ul><li>First impressions and introductions</li></ul><ul><li>Greetings and handshakes</li></ul><ul><li>Polite conversations and friendship</li></ul><ul><li>How to speak to adults and other superiors</li></ul><ul><li>Correspondence and phone manners</li></ul><ul><li>How to be a great host and guest</li></ul><ul><li>How to give and receive graciously</li></ul><ul><li>How to be a good teammate, partner, and leader </li></ul><ul><li>Dining etiquette, including handling and cutting food, place setting 101, polite table manners, how to handle tricky foods and so much more</li></ul>Please visit www.detroitacademyofetiquette.com for more information on programming and events.
