Virginia Martinez is a longtime Pilsen activist, leader, and author. Her two books, Adventures with Abuela, Let’s go to the Zoo and Adventures with Abuela, Let’s go to the Shedd Aquarium, capture the stories of a young boy named Rio and the time he spends with his grandmother. Join us as we celebrate her third book release Adventures with Abuela, Let’s go to the Museum of Science and Industry with a reception and reading!The MSI will be donating a Family Pass for 4 to be raffled, along with a NMMA Family Membership. Rio lives in the metropolitan Chicago area. His Abuela loves to take him and his family to different parks and museums. Now, they have a new addition—Rio’s little sister, Lily! During this adventure, Abuela and Rio’s mom take Rio and Lily to the Museum of Science and Industry, Rio’s favorite museum! What will Rio show Lily?
