Come on down for family Visual Arts drop-ins!

Summer of ArtsCome on down for family Visual Arts drop-ins! Each Saturday will feature a visual arts activity appropriate for all ages. Some featured activities will be painting, drawing, collage-making, and sticker-making. After a lifetime of playing in the lake and forest, her large abstract paintings nod to the waters and wilds of British Columbia. Her works on canvas feature vibrant and familiar washes of colour, layered and manipulated with bold forms and drawn elements that bring forward both a sense of emotional depth and fresh air. Her paintings, murals, poems, photography, and musical and poetic performances can be enjoyed on her website and Instagram. @angieanajones / <a href="https://angiemarchinkow.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">angiemarchinkow.com</a>Jesse Roode is a passionate certified educator and self taught artist who bases their practice in project based and self directed learning. Their expression touches on themes of environmentalism, sustainability and ecology. Her mediums of choice include traditional drawing, digital illustration, story telling, manga/comics, zines, printmaking, plein air/landscape/painting, and basic sculpting/installation. When Jesse is not working she is immersed in nature drawing, reading and researching or cooking elaborate treats.Kaylyn Hardstaff is a new member of the Kelowna arts community. Kaylyn is a visual artist who’s work feature’s themes of self-analysis/portraiture, interactions between light and shadow and phenomenology. Her primary mediums are drawing, painting, textiles and sculpture; she also works in printmaking and installation. She has recently started as the Youth program Coordinator at the Rotary Centre for the Arts and hopes to make new connections as she settles into living in BC.
