October 6th kicks off our 2019 Fall Series: First and Third Sundays at Starr Bar in Brooklyn! This ticket price secures your place for our FULL SIX-WEEK SERIES! Every first and third Sunday, we will gather from 6-8pm for two packed hours of learning and entertainment! We will begin with a swing dance lesson from Seraphina Mallon-Breiman and transition into a live music and dance social performed by the Tucci Swing Band, led by Katie Martucci. (Advanced ticket sales end October 5th and this event will be $20 at the door)This series will run First and Third Sundays of each month at Starr Bar on:10/610/20 11/311/17 12/112/15 This dance class is geared toward beginners, but useful for anyone interested in becoming better at listening to and connecting with their own body, a partner, and their musical environment. Class includes a mix of East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop and Charleston. After receiving multiple testimonials from non-dancers who believed they’d never find themselves comfortable on the dance floor, we assure you we can help and encourage everyone to come try dancing swing this fall!Seraphina and Katie, the co-founders of this event (and friends since childhood!) work teaching and performing as musicians and dancers. Just over a year ago, they founded Swing Sundays, a live music and dance night that uses swing dancing to grow community and explore the relationships between self, other, and the environment.
