It's a two-in-one workshop! Learn both how to play shuffleboard, and how to sketch people in motion.

The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club

T﻿o start, half the participants will be learning to play shuffleboard while the other half learn how to sketch people in motion. For the second hour, they will swap, and the third hour is "choose your own adventure" where you can pick to keep sketching or playing shuffleboard. You're welcome to buy yourself a drink or two during the workshop: the bar will be open! We won't be pausing for food, so I recommend you come having eaten, but there will also be food available on site from whatever food truck the Palms is hosting that week.M﻿aterials:T﻿he class will be taught in watercolor: feel free to bring whatever palette, brushes, and paper you already use, if you already use the medium. I'll have mini palettes for everyone with my favorite colors for this, so if you don't already have paints, you don't have to buy any! Please do come with your own paper, brushes and water cup (or a water brush, if that's your thing!). I would recommend the Canson XL Watercolor Pad (9x12") or any of the Stillman and Birn Zeta Series books (the 8.5x5.5" book would probably be ideal). A few round brushes would do, probably sizes 6, 4, 2, and (optional) a 0 for small details. Email me at ramblingsketcher@gmail.com if you have any questions about materials to bring, or otherwise! In addition to the mini palettes, participants will also walk away from the class with a booklet including all the information from the class.N﻿ote: The end time at 3 is the end of our court time, but you can stay and sketch after class time! There will likely still be other people playing on the courts.
