Gordon Best Theatre will debut North American performances of Timber Timbre's Lovage’ album featuring Katie Cruel and Anomalia.

T﻿imber TimbreAs inhabited by a mystical fever, Timber Timbre has the gift of hypnotizing us, raising our imaginations in the heart of a Canadian bayou haunted by shadows and lights. Relying on a successful artistic direction, articulated around an original spirituality from the start, the Canadian singer Taylor Kirk has been able to embody a folk aesthetic that is unlike any other. Timber Timbre is a poetic group excelling in the transcription of images. Gothic without being dark, each album sounds like the soundtrack of a new musical fresco that we are surprised to listen to with reverence.Timber Timbre’s latest recording ‘Lovage’ due out in spring 2023 is an album marrying perverted piano ballads and spiritual jazz interludes on islands of exotica and psyche-prog with Spectoresque girl-group cabaret. Recorded in 2022 in Quyon, Quebec at the church Studio Cimetiere of Mike Dubue (Hilotrons) the album features Olivier Fairfield (Fet Nat, Andy Shauf) and members of the Voices of Praise gospel choir (Howe Gelb). Sonically, a return to form following the glossy Sincerely, Future Pollution, the album will be launched in spring of 2023 on Timber Timbre’s own Hot Dreams Records.Gordon Best Theatre will debut North American performances of the ‘Lovage’ album and the new Timber Timbre trio featuring Mike Dubue (piano, synth, voice) Adam Bradley Schreiber (drums, percussion) and Taylor Kirk (guitars, voice).K﻿atie CruelOntario singer-songwriter Kate Boothman changes her name to Katie Cruel and joins Timber Timbre for a string of shows in anticipation of her forthcoming debut.
