Join us Thursday, June 29 to hear from a panel of members of the Teen Mental Health House Ad Hoc Committee

Please join us on Thursday, June 29 at 2:00 p.m. as 2012 Flinn-Brown Fellow and former Arizona Rep. Joanne Osborne leads a discussion with six members of the Teen Mental Health House Ad Hoc Committee, who will share the committee&#x27;s recommendations.In Arizona, suicide is one of the <a href="https://www.azdhs.gov/documents/operations/strategic-initiatives/arizona-state-health-assessment-2022.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">leading causes of death</a> in adolescents. The <a href="https://www.azleg.gov/icommittee/Teen%20Mental%20Health%20House%20Ad%20Hoc%20Committee.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Teen Mental Health House Ad Hoc Committee</a> was created to research and review information regarding how substance abuse, depression and mental illness, bullying and social media, and other factors may affect mental health in youth and potential teen suicide. The committee was tasked to identify potential solutions and make recommendations to public and private agencies, with the goal of addressing teen mental health issues and improving access to mental health care. Sean Tyler, Community Service sergeant, Goodyear Police Department.
