We are back at it again!  Honoring and celebrating youth who want to reach for the stars while growing into resilience.

What if every young person was surrounded by a team of caring, dedicated professionals to encourage and support them to be their best regardless of their circumstances?  What if every young person had access to a safe, creative and healing space to connect, build, and grow? This is the Faber Ryan Youth Foundation (FRYF).In 2019, our foundation grew and we refined our mission to meet the needs of underserved youth and young adults by engaging with them in their spaces and on their terms.   What hasn’t changed is our focus on reaching out to youth who want to pursue careers in the entertainment industry - in front of the camera or behind the scenes.  Through one on one interactions, classes, workshops, and group discussions we have learned that housing and food insecurity are common themes all of our youth struggle with.  Basic day to day decisions like where to shower, where to sleep, or getting the next meal are all barriers we are helping to address while simultaneously developing career and life skills.   By activating carefully thought out mentorships and accountability plans, we have already seen forward movement and growth in some of our youth.HERE’S WHERE YOU COME INOur Board and staff can’t do this alone.  The task of creating a solid foundation upon which these young people can build their professional and personal lives is bigger than any of us could imagine.  If you have the time, talent, or resources to contribute, we welcome you with open arms. Our goals are to double the number of youth and mentors by June 2020, create solid partnerships with agencies or companies that can offer our youth invaluable internship or work experiences, to build our scholarship and needs fund to $100,000, and to create a Pathway Youth Advisory Board and Pathway Advisory Mentor Board.On Saturday, October 12, 2019, we will be holding our annual Gala Event at Live House Hollywood.   If you love dancing to great music, seeing top level entertainment, eating amazing food prepared by a celebrity chef, and the best hosted beverages, then this is the place to be!  You’ll also see firsthand what it’s all about - the youth and their talent!
