Our Vision is that every nursing home will be a community in which lives are nurtured, residents are empowered, and people want to work.Our Mission is to make vital changes in policy and practice through the power of bringing diverse voices together now.Coalition Conversations is our way of building community around the Coalition, as well as informing our work. We're developing several type of events that allows us all to collaborate and share ideas, create a common understanding around complexities of long-term care, plus a way for Coalition leadership to provide updates (and solicit feedback) about our work. Ultimately, our goal is to lift up this important issue that directly impacts us all.

Please join us to celebrate the launch of our Action Plans and the collective work of our committee members! Each Action Plan outlines next steps to advance a critical aspect of nursing home quality improvement. Together, they represent a meaningful and realistic path toward our vision that every nursing home will be a community in which lives are nurtured, residents are empowered, and where people want to work.Join Alice Bonner, Chair of the Moving Forward Coalition, as she and other committee members review the aim of the nine final Action Plans, and how you may be able to engage in this work going forward. Action Plans will be launched via our website on July 18th with this event scheduled to review how we got here and what&#x27;s next. Background:Over the last ten months, seven (7) working committees have been hard at work turning the goals of the NASEM (National Academies of Science Engineering &amp; Medicine, aka NASEM) &quot;nursing home quality care report&quot; into concrete action steps. The goal is to test these ideas in the months ahead and scale those that make the most impact for positive change.
