Learn the skills of growing and processing your own chickens for food.Raeshel (Shelli) Pehl will bring her homesteading expertise to this excellent workshop experience, hosted by UpwardHouse Learning.We have two ticket options available.<ul><li>Experience Only- learn how to raise birds for meat. Ask questions. Gain hands-on experience processing Cornish cross chickens, from humanely dispatching, plucking, eviscerating, and safely packaging for the freezer.</li><li>Experience PLUS- you can come for the experience PLUS take home a bird that you process from start to finish during the workshop. (These birds typically sell $6/lb)</li></ul>You won't want to miss this hands-on learning experience.
