Join us for a special movie night featuring &quot;Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse&quot; (2018) to kick-off Operation Backpack®, Volunteers of America Chesapeake &amp; Carolinas annual back-to-school drive in support of underserved youth! We are excited to partner with the Bowie City Vice Mayor Roxy Ndebumadu, Councilmember At-Large Henri Gardner, the Prince George&#x27;s County Sheriff&#x27;s Office, Victory Grace Center, and MAD Konnect Foundation for this event!BALLOON ART | FOOD VENDORS | FACE PAINTING | FREE POPCORN &amp; MORE!Arrive as early as 6:30PM. The movie will start at dusk (8:45PM).**Note: This event will take place rain or shine. In the event of rain, we will utilize the Kenhill Center.**ENTRY FEE: Bring BRAND-NEW backpacks or school supplies OR make a monetary donation when you arrive. From now through September 1, 2023, your donations will help us provide backpacks, school supplies and funding for academic enrichment to more than 3,000 homeless and underprivileged children in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia. Together, we can help ensure these children achieve success despite their circumstances.Supplies are provided to students from low-income families in our programs as well as partnering Title 1 schools in the DMV area.
