Whatcom County Dressage &amp; Eventing Association is hosting THREE Working Equitation Schooling Shows at Sunset Farm Park, Blaine, WA this summer!Sunday, August 27, 2023Working Equitation Ease of Handling Judge: Kyra Gautesen, &amp; Dressage Judge: Birthe SchumannWE Divisions offered: Introductory, Novice A, Novice B, Intermediate A, Intermediate B. Includes Dressage &amp; Ease of Handling.Dressage tests only: WE tests, USDF Intro through Second Level (2023 tests) This is a great opportunity to practice your dressage test in a schooling show environment with low stress, low cost, and fun ribbons. You will get your test back with scores and comments from the judge! *Note: No schooling of obstacles before competing in your round.The EOH section will be out on the field and will utilize the water, bank and other WE obstacles. The dressage tests will be held in the sand arena.Entry Costs: <ul><li>Working Equitation Ease of Handling AND dressage: $80 WCDEA members, $110 non-members. (Membership must have been paid and received by June 1, 2023).</li><li>Dressage tests only: $25 per test WCDEA members, $40 per test non-members.</li><li>Competitor ribbons will be given for those competing in a Working Equitation division.</li><li>For dressage-only riders ribbon colors will be given on a percentage-basis.</li><li>We will have high-point awards for the series — your best scores for any 2 of the 3 the shows!</li></ul>Working Equitation rules and dressage tests available at <a href="http://www.usawe.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">usawe.org</a>Event Rules<ul><li>Helmets and boots with heels are required for all riders. NO EXCEPTIONS!</li><li>Body protective vests are allowed.</li><li>Please pick up around trailers before leaving. Leave no trace!</li><li>Ride times will be sent two days prior to the event. To save on paper,Maps and schedules will posted at show office and near course. Use your phone to take a picture, schedules and course maps will NOT be handed out.</li><li>Online payment preferred. Offline payments must be received by August 20th.</li><li>Refunds will not be available. Please ask questions about timing, scheduling, divisions, etc BEFORE registering.</li></ul>Questions? Contact Show Chair Viki Schimke at VikiSchimke@yahoo.comOVERNIGHT CAMPING AVAILABLE:If you&#x27;re planning to ride in both the Saturday clinic and the following day&#x27;s schooling show, there is overnight camping with your horse available for purchase for $25/horse/night. There are 10 very small grassy paddocks with a water spigot available. You can car camp or tent camp right there with your horse for the night between the two events! Paddocks are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once they&#x27;re gone, they&#x27;re gone.** To reserve your overnight paddock please email: Deirdra.D@gmail.com. **Horse Camping at Sunset Farm Park RULES:1. Use at your own risk 2. Bring your own stall guard.3. Do NOT tie horses to the fences4. NO alcohol 5. NO dogs6. NO complaints from the neighbors, be quiet!7. No campfires. (There is currently a burn ban in effect for Whatcom County)
