Founded in 1978 by dance and expressive arts therapy pioneers Anna Halprin and Daria Halprin, Tamalpa Institute is internationally recognized for its unique approach to movement, dance, and expressive arts therapy and education. We offer classes and programs throughout the year for people who wish to incorporate the embodied creativity of the arts into their personal lives and professional practices.

Allow your body to be tended to and cared for with gentle guidance and the freedom to listen to and be recharged by your own medicine. Emphasis will be on embodiment, mindfulness, following your inner healing wisdom, and coming home to the body as a refuge. N﻿o experience necessary.Please have a comfortable space to move and have drawing and writing materials on hand.To get the most out of this online series, please prepare a comfortable space to move in with access to your online device. Also, have art supplies ready at hand for drawing activities, and paper and pen for journaling and creative writing exercises.Please note: Tamalpa does not record nor permit the recording of any classes or workshops due to the sensitive and sometimes vulnerable nature of the work, and to protect student privacy.NATAN DASKAL is a dancer, educator, and bodyworker and has taught movement and the expressive arts to children, youth, and adults in diverse settings. A member of Tamalpa’s core faculty since 2016, he has extensive teaching experience working directly with Anna Halprin as her teaching assistant in public workshops and classes. Natan studied ballet at the Joffrey School in New York City, received his BFA in Communication Design at Parsons the New School for Design, and received his MA in Education at Goddard College where he studied the intersection of somatics, creativity, and community education. He is also a Certified Massage Therapist, Craniosacral Therapist, and has completed certification programs in somatic education at Moving on Center, and in mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy at the Hakomi Institute of California. <a href="https://www.natandaskal.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Natandaskal.com</a>Refunds will only be given if cancellation is received at least 48 hours before the start of the workshop.
