Video modeling, scripting, & bug-in-ear technology are approaches to teach social skills and other adaptive skills in many settings.

Highly visual learners benefit from breaking down a skill into small steps, practicing the skill, video recording the skill, and then watching themselves or others perform the skill in a movie. You will learn how to become a film maker using tools such as your phone, camera, or tablet to create your own movie clips. The videos can be used for the learner, the instructor/therapist, and the parent as a teaching and assessment tool. Ms. Garro has worked with individuals of all ages with Autism, ADD/ADHD, Down Syndrome, and other exceptional learning styles for over 30 years. She started, FILM CLUB (inclusive social skills group) in 2006 using video modeling and scripting to teach various skills. She uses this concept in her private practice with families and districts. 1.5 CEs for educators and counselors
