We feature original bands (local/regional/national) in a variety of genres, including: Blues, R&B, Rock, Indie, Pop, Singer/Songwriter, Americana, and Alt-Country, stand-up comedy and other entertainment at least four nights a week. Sophisticated without being pretentious, Jilly’s has a full-service kitchen offering an eclectic, 100% gluten free small plates menu and weekend brunch, table service, craft cocktails, more than 100 beers, state of the art sound and light system, professional engineering and production staff, and exceptional service. Weeknight bands/entertainers typically perform between 7 and 10PM. Friday and Saturday performances are 8PM-Midnight. Compensation is negotiated at time of booking.  We do not take a cut of your merch sales. Food and beverage comps are provided to each band member. Touring bands should partner with a local band and/or have a strong connection to the area. We expect you to promote your show and to do your part to help fill the room. Professional sound, video, lighting, engineers and production staff are provided by the club. If you call after 5PM, your message will not be picked up until the following morning.PARKING:There is plenty of free street and public lot parking in the Northside District (out front, under the bridge on Furnace and Ridge, two huge, well lit public lots on Furnace Street between Ridge and Summit). On weekends, there is limited valet parking available in the small lot across the street (between the Akron Symphony and Northside Cellar). Park in either of the lots on the east side of the street signed “Luigi’s Parking Only” at your own risk. Your car may be ticketed and/or towed. We can’t apologize enough about that.

Cleveland’s high energy all-star jazz fusion collective Matthew Alec and The Soul Electric is back at Jilly’s Music Room, this time teaming up with the legendary Blues Brothers trombonist and multi-instrumentalist Tom “Bones” Malone! Malone, who appeared on the group’s first two albums, has had an illustrious career in music working with such artists as Blood, Sweat, and Tears, Frank Zappa, Paul McCartney, David Sanborn, Michael and Randy Brecker, Gil Evans, Miles Davis and many others.

Tom “Bones” Malone is a trombonist, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and producer boasts an eclectic career that has spanned several decades and is among the most experienced professionals in the business.
He is best known for his work with The Blues Brothers, David Letterman Show, and Saturday Night Live, although he has also worked with Gil Evans, Blood, Sweat, &amp; Tears, Paul McCartney, David Sanborn, Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, James Taylor, and many, many others. He has played on 4,400+ television shows, 3,000+ radio &amp; television commercials, over 1,500 recordings and thousands of live performances throughout the world and has done 2,700 arrangements for television.

Matthew Alec is a jazz and popular music saxophonist, founder and Executive Producer at Cleveland Time Records, and bandleader for the high-energy jazz fusion group Matthew Alec and The Soul Electric. Nominated as “Cleveland’s Best Horn Player,” he has performed for over 20 years and holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Kent State University. He has performed with former Saturday Night Live Musical Director, CBS Orchestra member, and Blues Brothers bandsman Tom “Bones” Malone, internationally acclaimed bassist Victor Wooten and his brother Roy “Futureman” Wooten, SNL trombonist Steve Turre, Ohio Players’ Billy Beck, Parliament-Funkadelic bassist Ben Powers, Jr. and he has recorded with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Bernie Worrell and aforementioned Tom “Bones” Malone. He has also opened for several A-list acts including Earth, Wind, and Fire, Incubus, Robert Randolph and The Family Band, Keane, Average White Band, Lupe Fiasco, J Holiday, and OAR. 
His debut album as a leader Cleveland Time was released in 2021 and charted for several weeks on the NACC Jazz Radio Chart and received international press from Jazziz Magazine, All About Jazz, JazzMonthly.com, SoulTracks.com, Broadway World, WBSS Media, Glide Magazine, Cleveland.com, and many others. His hard bop blues composition “Blues for McCoy” from the album was a Semi-Finalist in the International Songwriting Competition as well as one of All About Jazz’s most “Popular Jazz Songs” for 2021.His sophomore release Live at the Bop Stop! featuring Tom “Bones” Malone is currently spinning on radio stations around the US and Canada.
