Lovers of poetry, nature, butterflies and moths! Join us to learn about the vast world of butterflies and moths through this poetry workshop

Poplar Union

We&#x27;ll be going on a lovely walk-through Poplar Union before resting to tap into our inner individual creativity to write a poem (or two!) from what we learned, spotted and experienced. Writing prompts will be provided to help start you off with breaks between each prompt to help you reflect and complete your master piece. Towards the end of the workshop, you will have the opportunity to share your creative pieces with the group if you would like to!T﻿his workshop is for 18+F﻿acilitator details:Ayah Musaad (stage name: Ayah Speaks) is a poet, writer and performance artist who found her love for poetry from the age of 8! Ayah&#x27;s theatre experience includes co-writing and cast in Fragments, a poetry play (with the Spoken Word Theatre Company cohort 2021-22) which debuted at Theatre Peckham and cast in Mya Onwugbonu&#x27;s Hear Me Now poetry play which debuted at Southwark Playhouse and Vault Festival 2023. Ayah&#x27;s poetry indulges in the themes of mindfulness, mental health and identity. Ayah describes her relationship with poetry as an offering to the universe in a medley of mindfulness and uncomfortable truths served in a comical way with a hint of sarcasm. Ayah loves being in nature as well as moths and butterflies and so is very excited to facilitate this workshop!F﻿unded by: Big City Butterflies
