ADVANCED REGISTRATION ONLY - TICKET SALES END MONDAY, 8/21 AT 11:59PMThe Garden Get Down brings together community members and gardeners for a fun-filled night of fresh local food, dancing, specialty drinks, and garden related activities. This all-ages party is a great way to connect with local gardeners and farmers, learn about Grow Pittsburgh’s work to increase fresh food access, or just to enjoy a great meal and break it down on the dancefloor with some friends!This year we’ll be serving up tastes of the harvest from Secretos de mis Abuelos and Veggies N'at, hosting a free seed swap featuring heirloom organic seeds, and dancing to funky jams from DJ Sister Sludge.Garden Get Down is a fundraiser with sliding scale tickets. Please give as generously as you can. All proceeds benefit Grow Pittsburgh's work to teach people how to grow food and promote the benefits gardens bring to our neighborhoods. Tell your friends, bring your family, and mark your calendars! This summer celebration will be a night that you don’t want to miss.------Parking is available onsite and carpooling is encouraged. Sherwood Event Center is accessible by bus via the 69-Trafford. Garden Get Down is a rain or shine event. The pavilion at Sherwood Event Center provides some cover, but please come prepared and bring an umbrella if you think it will be necessary.
