The Boulder Mountainbike Alliance's mission is to serve as a positive voice for mountain biking in Boulder County, Colorado by improving the trail experience for all users through social rides and events, advocacy, and trail building. BMA offers women's mountain bike skills clinics for all level. Whether you are just starting out or wanting to hone your skills with a group of supportive ladies, we have you covered!

WHO THIS CLINIC IS FORThis clinic is for novice female riders who don’t have much experience with mountain biking but are ready to dive in!DESCRIPTIONIn this four-week novice-level clinic, you’ll be paired with BICP certified coach Kelsey to cover MTB Foundation Skills and climbing, descending and cornering techniques. This is an introductory class at the novice level. You will learn and practice new skills during the first three sessions at Valmont, then take it on the trail for the final session!Tuesday Series Dates, 5:30 - 7:30 pm<ul><li>8/8</li><li>8/15</li><li>8/22</li><li>9/7 at 5 p.m.</li></ul>You&#x27;ll learn how to:<ul><li>Ride with balance and body-bike separation</li><li>Brake properly</li><li>Climb and descend on trails</li><li>Shift to the correct gear</li><li>Steer and corner</li><li>Approach obstacles including perform basic front wheel lifts</li><li>Roll down drops</li></ul>Maximum 8 students. No matter how you ride your bike, you&#x27;re about to ride it better!Clinics meet on the east side of Valmont Bike Park near the pavilion next to the dog parkStart Time: 5:30 pm (please be there at 5:15 pm to allow ample prep time)COSTWe love to ride and we know that you do too so we try to keep our expenses low and then pass that savings onto our members.
