What does STEM mean? STEM stands for: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics What is SISP ? STEM Industry School Partnerships, is the NSW Department of Education’s Premier STEM Education program.SISP is a contemporary and proven education model that, in partnership with industry, is inspiring students to study STEM and prepare for their futures . It is a dynamic program that is actively growing students' job readiness skills and contributing to the international competitiveness of regional NSW.Lead on the program is Dr Scott Sleap, who will be joining us on the night to talk to our local teachers, industry representatives and parents who are intertested in how STEM and Industry are working together to fill the gaps in the education of our future workforce. Regional Development Australia is part of an Australian Government initiative based on building partnerships and ensuring that all governments and stakeholders are responsive to local priorities and needs.Through partnership programs like SISP (STEM, Industry School Partnerships) and Grow Our Own we work as a conduit between government and local communities, as facilitator and provider of information.Nibbles and Refreshments will be available for all attending guests.
