About Presenter:
Stacy Watkins, M.Ed, LPC, CGP, is a group therapist in private practice. She works with individuals and couples and leads a weekly adult process group. Ongoing training is an important part of Stacy’s work and she trains both locally and at the Center for Group Studies in New York. Stacy has a particular interest in understanding the richness of the group experience for both the group member and the leader and how to facilitate the healing that is unique to group therapy.
Description: 
We routinely help group members navigate their transferences to group, but what about our reactions to our group as a whole? Our transference reactions while running groups are normal, yet it can be intimidating to admit to, or even let ourselves know, how groups we lead may feel a little too familiar. How do we bring openness and curiosity about our own reactions to our group as a whole? Why might we want to avoid knowing about these reactions? Come explore how our personal histories influence our experience of leading group and how this knowledge can inform our work as group leaders.
Charge:  There is no charge for this event.
