Our mission is to champion new plays that break down barriers of cultural misunderstanding, transform perspectives, and create space for fresh narratives to unfold. We keep a pulse on the social conversations happening in our global community, and are committed to incubating and presenting plays that directly address these questions.  We believe in the power of theatre to challenge, reveal, and heal.

Lower Depth Theatre

Each year, Lower Depth Theatre celebrates the federal holiday, Juneteenth. Our annual celebration is a jamboree for the whole family.

Boston Court Pasadena

Together, we honor African American history, heritage, and freedom. At our Juneteenth Jamboree, magnetic personalities lead us through an electrifying day. This year, our widely acclaimed headliners include LA-based African dance company, Le Ballet Dembaya! Programming also includes dynamic storytelling by Yvette Brandy, a kids crafts table, tacos catered by Pacos Tacos of Sylmar, a general store, an African drum circle with Clarence &quot;Chazz&quot; Ross, and a reading of a Juneteenth-inspired 10-minute play &quot;Abolitionist Biscuits,&quot; written by the ever-talented multi-medium writer, T.Tara Turk-Haynes! Each jamboree is a unique and captivating musical, cultural, and historical journey. We hope you will join us for this unique and moving day of celebration and remembrance.
