Opheliah is the brainchild of veteran songsmith and producer Tim Malkin (Talkboy, Fizzy Blood). After years of playing and writing for others, Tim wanted to create a solo project that truly embraced his absurdist yet celebratory take on all the little things in life. Working from his homely studio in Leeds, Tim uses a ‘warts and all’ approach to create the idiosyncratic indie of Opheliah. Juxtaposing moments of quiet introspection with unpredictable yet joyous refrains and rich harmonic melodies, Opheliah perfectly balances honest, intimate songwriting with orchestral, cinematic qualities akin to Foxwarren or Brian Wilson.+ special guests:Z﻿oe Cure:Inspired by the likes of Laura Marling, Adrienne Lenker, Radiohead and Neil Young, singer-songwriter Zoe Cure tethers herself to the world through song at its most intimate and imperfect best. After cultivating her sound in private for many years, the release of her debut single &#x27;Between the glass&#x27; in September 2022 was the result of her slow growth into confidence and a willingness to find strength in vulnerability. With soft vocals, haunting melodies and lyrics that ache, her artfully crafted songs explore all things felt and invisible; from universal grief to personal joy and all the spaces inbetween.
