<h1>Mt Goats July Meeting: Climate change and increased local government fiscal stress</h1>On Monday, July 10th North Star is hosting a gathering for the Oregon Mountain Goats to learn about and discuss climate change and increased local government fiscal stress. We will be joined virtually by guest speaker <a href="https://carleton.ca/cee/profile/elisabeth-gilmore/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dr. Elisabeth Gilmore</a>, of Carleton University. You can read Dr. Gilmore&#x27;s paper on this topic <a href="https://www.nature.com/articles/s41558-022-01311-x" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>This meeting takes place from 11:30 - 1pm, in person at North Star&#x27;s collaboration space in downtown Portland (1016 SW Clay Street). Lunch will be served. Please RSVP here so we can know how many people to expect. While we strongly encourage folks to join us in person, we can offer a virtual option.
