<h1>Join us on Saturday, May 27 from 1:00pm - 2:15pm (Central Time) for an open dialogue with Barak adé Soleil, new Director of Emerging Curators Institute (ECI),  Tara Aisha Willis, Curator of Performance and Public Practice at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (MCA), and members of the 2023-24 Fellowship cohort: Nance Musinguzi and Makeda &quot;Keda&quot; Tadesse. Together they will discuss curatorial practice focused on intersectionality, care, and accessibility. </h1><h1></h1><h1>This virtual event is free and open to the public. Willis was a programmer and founding administrator of the Artists of Color Council at dance incubator Movement Research. Her writing has been published by Getty Research Institute/X Artists’ Books, Wendy’s Subway Press, Performa Magazine, Brooklyn Rail, Danspace Project, The Black Scholar, and forthcoming from University of Illinois Press and Soberscove Press. Willis performed in a nationally touring collaboration between Will Rawls and Claudia Rankine, and in the “Bessie” Award-winning performance by The Skeleton Architecture. </h1><h1></h1><h1>About ECI:</h1><h1>Emerging Curators Institute is designed to build the individual practices of emerging curators from diverse backgrounds through an in-depth research, professional development, and presentation program.
