Join Brown People Foundation for grounding strolls through city parks and hidden gems, as we identify & collect local plants, herbs, and flowers!

<h2>Hosted by Brown People Foundation, in Partnership with Feminist Bird Club!</h2><h2></h2><p>The <strong>#BPFForagers</strong> and <strong>#ForageFam</strong> are back for June!!! Come kick off Pride Month with us as we stroll, discover, honor, and share amongst the plants &amp; trees. Learn how to spot native and invasive plants &amp; birds  - and about their uses!  Catch us in Washington Park for a plant identification walk, guided by herbalist &amp; earth steward Jah of BPF. We will also be identifying the birdies along our path, thanks to the expertise of Feminist Bird Club Chicago!  💚🌿</p><p></p><p>😷☝🏾Yes #WeOutside but please be mindful of yourself and others. #MaskUp &amp; keep that #6Feet babes.</p><p>🖤 Wear comfy shoes, bring water,  and dress for the weather!</p><p>🖤🌈 BIPOC (Black &amp; Indigenous People of Color) to the front! TGNC (Trans &amp; Gender Non-Conforming) folks to the front! Earth stewardship is our birthright and Ancestral responsibility. These walks are curated with that in mind, and to facilitate organic (pun intended)  community. Non-Black/POC &amp; cis het attendees will not be turned away - <em>however</em>, we implore you to consider the empirical need for safe spaces for Black &amp; Indigenous folks, the space you are taking up, and if it is warranted.</p><p></p><h3>*﻿Notes on Accessibility:</h3><ul><li>T﻿here are NO restrooms  on-site, due to the Washington Park Fieldhouse being temporarily closed</li><li>T﻿here is a mixed terrain of paved, gravel, and grassy paths with minimal incline</li><li>T﻿otal distance is less than 1 mile loop</li><li>B﻿inoculars will be provided <em>(Limited)</em></li><li>T﻿his is a family-friendly event!</li></ul>
