Where is the Museum of Southwestern Biology?

Accepted Answer

The MSB is housed inside the CERIA Building on the University of New Mexico's main campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico. If you've been on campus, we're near Castetter and Northrop Hall.

Where do I park?

Accepted Answer

The easiest parking will be in the Cornell Parking Structure near Popejoy Hall. These are paid parking spots.  There are also nearby handicap parking spaces beside and behind Castetter Hall.

We also recommend biking in and have plenty of bike racks right out front of the MSB for you to lock up to.

Can I get to the MSB on public transit?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Central Albuquerque has a vast bus network, most of which is completely fare-free.

We recommend getting off at either the UNM/CNM or UNM/Popejoy stops of the ART Line, or Yale/Central on the ABQ RIDE Line.

Is the Museum accessible?

CERIA is an ADA compliant building and all areas of the MSB are wheelchair accessible. Our standard tour route does involve two stairwells, though we can easily reroute for anyone that would prefer use of an elevator.  Please speak to an MSB volunteer when you arrive so we can assist you as needed.

Are minors welcome?

Ages 12 and over are welcome, but minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

What if I'm not a "science person"?

This tour is open to the public, all of the public, not just those with a scientific background. It doesn't take much to fit in at the MSB. Do you like looking at bugs on the sidewalk? Then we'll like you!
