SCANJ’s Shine the Light campaign will conclude on Monday, June 19th at 7:30pm
with a Candlelight Vigil at the Source of Knowledge Bookstore, 867 Broad Street,
Newark, New Jersey. 
Help us celebrate World Sickle Cell Awareness Day on Monday, June 19, 2023.
Everyone is invited to wear something red and connect with friends, family, your
community and people around the nation and globe as you take part in or host local
gatherings to “Shine the Light on Sickle Cell Disease.” Together, we will find a universal
cure for sickle cell disease!NOTE: Tests and COVID-19 vaccinations will be available onsite should you need one. Masks are encouraged.
