In this four-week course, certified teachers, Laurie & Carrie, will help deepen  your understanding and acceptance of your own aging journey

<p>E﻿xplore these questions and many more in community with others:</p><ul><li>How do you define aging?</li><li>When you think about aging, what do you embrace and what do you resist? </li><li>What thoughts or beliefs are holding you back?</li><li>How might you try to change or control your own  aging?</li><li>W﻿hat is the superpower of your age?</li><li>W﻿hat grief do you want to let go?</li></ul><li>Aging is universal. How we age varies dramatically between individuals, cultures, and societies. As we live longer, it is critical we  learn how to thrive longer too. In this course you will explore your relationship to your own sense of aging in order to improve your quality of mindful living and well-being (Mind, Body and Spirit) across your lifespan.  The context of working together in a community of like-minded individuals during this course, offers powerful validation and additional insights that are not readily achievable when working alone.</li><h3></h3><h3>Topics</h3><ul><li>Being a Witness to Our Aging</li><li>Developing Mindfulness of Mind, Body, Spirit</li><li>Living With Awareness </li><li>Facing Change With Open Heartedness</li><li>Celebrating Our Gifts and Legacies </li></ul><h3>Four Week Course Overview</h3><ul><li>Dates:  October 14, 21, 28,  November 4, 2023</li><li>Virtual  Weekly Sessions: Saturdays @ 8:00 -9:30 am PT / 11:00-12:30 pm ET </li><li>Deepen each week’s learning with online modules (optional readings, videos, podcasts)</li><li>Weekly One-Hour Small Peer Group Meetings to discuss learnings (several times available)</li><li>Two Q&amp;A Sessions: Sundays  (October 15 and 29) @  3:00-4:00 pm PT / 6:00-7:00 pm ET</li><li>Mindfulness meditation experience is not a prerequisite.</li></ul><h3>Time Commitment </h3><ul><li>Weekly: Teacher-led class (It will be recorded) and peer group; Approx.  2.5 hours</li><li>Optional: 2 Q&amp;A Sessions, weekly learning modules, journaling; Approx. 1.0-2.0 hours</li></ul><h3>Sliding Scale Fee: We want all who find benefit to attend. Scholarships available.</h3><h3>NEW Lower Prices: $176.5 sustainer, $142.5 middle, and $117.5 base</h3><p><strong>The course fee is on a sliding scale. Please pay as much as you can so that we can offer this course to all regardless of anyone's financial situation. You may consider the middle level of $142.5.  If your finances do not permit you to pay the middle level, perhaps choose the base level payment of $117.5. <h2>Teacher Bios</h2><h3>Carrie-Ann Tkaczyk </h3><p>After losing both parents and her father-in-law last year, Carrie is keenly aware of impermanence. To design and teach this course on aging, she draws not only from her mindfulness work, but also from nearly 30 years of education experience, a decade as a professional ICF Certified coach, and over 50 years of her own aging. Carrie has been practicing meditation for most of her life, but she began to connect it to mindfulness and Buddhism after living in Nepal in the  90&#x27;s. She is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher  from Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach’s two-year program and  teaches weekly mindfulness meditation sessions. Carrie is committed to centering culture to bring together body, heart, mind, and community, including our eco-community. Currently, home is a travel trailer while she explores the Western US with her partner and dog. More at www.journeythroughcoaching.com</p><h3>Laurie Rosenberg</h3><p> Throughout her adult life Laurie has been using meditation, yoga, and Reiki energy healing as a means to quiet and de-stress her mind, spirit, and body. She became a fully certified Reiki Master and, more recently, pursued a Vipassana Buddhist meditation practice and completed a two-year intensive teacher certification program in Mindfulness Meditation with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.  Laurie teaches Introductory and thematic based Mindfulness Meditation courses and leads a weekly virtual community Sangha with guided Mindfulness Meditation topics and techniques as well as teaching Mindfulness Meditation one-on-one.</p><p>Laurie also holds her master’s and doctorate in Cell and Molecular Biology and developed an extensive professional career in human clinical medicinal discoveries. Laurie’s motivation and passion is that she believes that the intersection of science and mindfulness meditation practice can offer a mountain of integrative benefits that are easy to learn, practical and affirming for well-being.</p>
