The Beaufort Digital Corridor is a creative effort to attract, nurture and promote Beaufort's technology entrepreneurs through a combination of technology-enabled initiatives and business incentives, private business support and member-driven programming.

Join us for a week-long day camp "Summer CODEcamp" (for rising 5th - 8th graders) program to learn the basics of coding.

Beaufort Digital Corridor - BASEcamp

This camp is designed to cultivate a love for coding and foster an understanding of computer science from an early age.Over the course of our program, young coders will embark on a fantastic journey, starting from the fundamentals of Python - one of the world&#x27;s most popular and powerful programming languages. They&#x27;ll explore various Python features such as variables, loops, conditionals, and functions, all while engaging in hands-on projects that reinforce their learning and enhance their problem-solving abilities.They&#x27;ll build their very own dice simulator, a grade checker, and many other fun projects. They will experience how to write code to control the computer, manipulate data, and create simple yet powerful applications. They&#x27;ll also learn to think algorithmically, understand how computers process information and grasp the logic behind the magic.Whether your child has previous programming experience or is a total beginner, our camp is designed to challenge them at their level.By the end of CODEcamp, students won&#x27;t just learn how to code - they&#x27;ll think like coders. They&#x27;ll be equipped with the tools and knowledge to continue exploring and inventing long after the camp ends.What Students Get:<ul><li>BDC tour</li><li>L﻿ive Instruction</li><li>4﻿ Hours Each Day (8am - 12pm daily from 6/5 - 6/9)</li><li>Total Lesson Time: 20 hours</li></ul>Cost:<ul><li>$250 per student</li><li>Light snack will be provided</li><li>Bring your own laptop (if you need one provided for you, please reach out so we can accommodate)</li></ul>Parking:<ul><li>Metered parking in lot</li><li>Free street parking on Carteret</li></ul>
