Ashkenazis the East Bay's home to world music & dance... established 1973; nonprofit since 1997. We are always all ages! Kids 12 & under are admitted free unless otherwise noted.All of our online ticket sales are will call.We will have a list of ticket buyers at the door; you do not need to bring a printout of your ticket/order confirmation.Doors open 30 minutes before showtime, or 30 minutes before the dance lesson if there is one, unless otherwise noted.Ashkenaz's Café opens when doors open and offers beer (draft and bottled), wine, kombucha, juices, sodas, coffee and tea, and snacks and light meals (all vegetarian, mostly organic).

Doors at 7:30PM | Show at 8:00 PMfeatured performer: The Feelings ParadeYou&#x27;re Going to Die: Poetry, Prose &amp; Everything Goes... is an open mic event, the communal offering for us to explore the conversation of death &amp; dying, to embrace our losses &amp; mortality, to grieve, bereave &amp; honor those we’ve lost &amp; love… while all the while making room for simply being ALIVE.Sign-ups will be the night of &amp; the list fills up quickly, so if you want to perform, get there early… (each performance under 5 MINUTES) Please don’t perform anything with a setup that takes much more time than the time it takes for you to walk onstage. Poetry, prose, music, dancing, comedy, drama, happy, sad, &amp; on &amp; on &amp; on… Remember: EVERYTHING GOES… so do whatever you want. There will be an acoustic guitar made available at the show.You don’t have to perform anything; the audience is as essential as the performers.No one turned away for lack of funds (applies to advanced sales too)! We got you.&quot;Artist info:The Feelings Parade’s music has brought them on multiple national US tours and all over Europe--everywhere from grand music halls to prisons; from music festivals to the bedsides of hospice patients--and has had them sharing stages with like-hearted musicians such as Glen Hansard, Mirah, Josiah Johnson (The Head and The Heart), Ayla Nereo, Mount Eerie, Rainbow Girls, John Craigie, Whiskerman, and MaMuse. They regularly get asked to make an entire album of their unscripted, often hilarious, and vulnerable onstage banter. The project has become a central part of the burgeoning West Coast folk scene, and whether they’re playing as a duo or with their sexy 7-piece band, The Feelings Parade are known for being rare musical truth-tellers who choose lay it all out, both inside and outside of the songs.Tickets:$15.00 - $25.00
