The Baker

T.U.R.N. Project and Hip Hop Reader is hosting a free, family friendly festival to showcase individually published authors’ work alongside national published authors in all genres and help gain exposure while also providing readers with the opportunity to connect with their favorite writers! This one-of-a-kind event is an experience curated for Authors and Writers to network and connect with local Readers while exposing the community to the art of literary creation at The Baker 501 Main - a historic icon right on Main Street in the Argenta Arts District of North Little Rock!W﻿HAT TO EXPECT<ol><li>Panel Discussion: Publishing, the Business of Writing, Marketing, and the Process of Writing your first book.</li><li>Demonstrations: Writers will demonstrate activities from &#x27;How-to&#x27; book (Cooking, Exercise)</li><li>Readings: Authors will read from their own work</li><li>Vendors: Opportunities to purchase autographed copies of books, book inspired products and locally crafted goods.</li><li>L﻿ocal Artwork</li><li>M﻿usic! Authors have an opportunity to share directly from their pages while audience gets cozy in the beautiful garden,

The Readers lounge

Current Authors will discuss the process of book writing from creation to Marketing. Whether it's your first or next book, it's time for you to get to writing and publishing your book! Find out current book trends.

The Business of Writing Panel Discussion 

A Workshop for writers to create work based on a set of prompts. Writers will sit at a conference style table and create and share work.

The Lit Lab

Author Dara Jones will share a recipe straight from the pages of her cookbook: Easy Vegan Meals A Love Letter To Myself - a blueprint that lead her to a place of greater health and wholeness. Join her as she shares her story and provides you with the opportunity to taste a yummy vegan dish and also learn how to prepare one dish that can easily become a household staple for you!

Demo: The Vegan Cookbook

End the Night With an evening of open mic poetry hosted by local poets. Read from your own poetry, share poetry that has inspired you or just pull up a chair and take in the ambiance.

OPEN MIC

Join an Exclusive Journaling Brunch where guest will have the opportunity to eat freshly prepared lite breakfast items, fruit, mimosas and begin the process of daily journaling as a healing practice. ($25)
