Despite the common belief that children “don’t see race”, research shows that racial awareness starts as young as three months old.

It's never too early to begin having open conversations with your child about race. We will share strategies and resources that will help us feel more equipped to talk about race with the children in our lives. Learn how to approach these conversations with empathy and compassion. This workshop is designed for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-10.		Presenter(s) Bio:Isabel Cruz is a Diversity and Inclusion consultant and educator with over twenty years of experience working in racially and economically diverse schools. After teaching in NYC public schools for 15 years, Isabel moved to Amsterdam and worked as a pre-k teacher at the International School of Amsterdam. In 2021, she founded Kaleidoscope Education Consulting which partners with educators, school leaders, and families to create learning communities and curricula that embrace diversity, inclusion, and equity through thoughtful solutions-based professional development and training.
