Women in Architecture Conversation Series with Karen Lantz of Lantz Full Circle

Open to all1﻿ LUL﻿ocation will be sent via email two days before the event.Karen Lantz, AIA is a Texas architect recently relocated to Santa Barbara. She and her husband Andrew Farkas chose to move here based on their 'City X' decision grid and have not regretted one single second of it. In Houston, she pursued mission-based projects; such as, founding a non-profit post-WWII modern preservation group called Houston Mod, being a deconstruction advocate in practice by recycling an entire home, completing a design-build for a LEED Platinum home and designing affordable disaster recovery housing for the City of Houston. She also served on the boards of Rice Design Alliance, Lawndale Art Center and The Menil Contemporaries. In the short time she’s been in Santa Barbara, she now serves on the board of Casa del Herrero, is volunteering to make the Single Family Design Board experience better for architects and working to continue being a modern preservation, contemporary design and deconstruction advocate in Santa Barbara. She’s got ideas to share and invites you to connect on what's next!
