Virtual meeting and discussion of Amnesty International’s 2022 report on Israel's practice of apartheid against Palestinians

Amnesty International Group 137 invites you to join us for a virtual meeting and discussion of Amnesty International’s 2022 investigative report titled “Israel’s apartheid against Palestinians: Cruel system of domination and crime against humanity”. We are excited to welcome Elizabeth Rghebi, Amnesty International USA Advocacy Director for the Middle East and North Africa, as our special guest speaker for the event. We’ll send the Zoom link to all registrants prior to the event.At the meeting we’ll watch a short introductory video and Elizabeth will discuss the findings of the Amnesty report and conduct a Q&amp;A with attendees. We’ll also do online actions related to the report.Building on a growing body of work, Amnesty International documented and analyzed Israel’s treatment of Palestinians within the framework of the definition of apartheid under international law, aiming to determine whether discriminatory and exclusionary Israeli laws, policies and practices against Palestinians amount to apartheid as a violation of public international law, a serious human rights violation and a crime against humanity.
