We empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds. Check back frequently, as we post new service opportunities on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Seeds of Caring

Children will show compassion for our unhoused neighbors by packing Summer Care Kits and creating messages of encouragement.

Who this Anywhere Project is for:Ages 4-12. Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at programs@seedsofcaring.org.What you'll be doing:You're never too little to make a difference! Children will gain empathy for our unhoused neighbors through a read aloud and age appropriate discussion. Then helping hands will pack 2+ Summer Care Kits and make cheer cards for unhoused neighbors at <a href="https://lssnetworkofhope.org/faithmission/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Faith Mission's</a> men's shelter. When you'll be doing it:This Anywhere Project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are!This project is on-going. Families and groups may participate anytime until the project ends on June 25th. Donations may be porch-dropped from 9am - 7pm on June 23-25 to a Seeds of Caring volunteer in Dublin, Grandview, or German Village. Addresses will be provided in your service packet.How it all works:Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. If for some reason you cannot access this file, please email programs@seedsofcaring.org for assistance.The meaning-making:Engaging children’s hearts and minds before getting their hands active with service is a vital step in raising caring, compassionate humans. In every Seeds of Caring service packet, you'll find quick, easy-to-use guides to support you in leading meaning-making conversations! This project's guided discussion focuses on service and poverty.Approximate Cost: $20 for two kits including a deck of cards, gum, earbuds, and more (full packing list is included in the packet and all items can be found in dollar stores). For cheer cards, use craft supplies on hand or the printable template provided in the service packet.Why you'll be invited to donate:Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you.
