Krav Maga. It means “Contact Combat” and was developed in the 30s and 40s to help the creator Imi Lichtenfeld, and his community, to defend themselves both on the street, and at war.

Who can attend?

Anyone! Our images primarily feature women due to the high demand for women’s self-defense classes. However we support all marginalized communities and will be hosting LGBTQIA+ events as well! These events will be in partnership with the LGBTQIA+ Survivor Task Force (part of SD Pride)

What if I am pregnant, or have an injury?

For this introduction you will be doing minimal physical movements, however, we always check in with participants on any special needs or injuries and will adapt accordingly.

Will I be triggered?

Accepted Answer

It is possible that some of the material covered may be triggering to some participants, based on their past experiences. It is also possible that you will experience a profound release of pent up emotions and/or trauma during the classes, with these spiritual modalities.

We therefore take every precaution with our events, and that is why our venues and the facilitators are chosen very specifically to provide you with a safe and secure environment. Laugh, cry, scream if you need to. Our certified facilitators will be there for you, regardless of your experience.

Do you take photos/videos of class?

Our liability waiver does include a photo/video release, to allow us to market for our fundraising efforts. HOWEVER, we 100% put safety and privacy above all else, so if you would like to remain anonymous and not be photographed, please just let us know.

What do these classes cost?

Accepted Answer

We are currently pricing the event series at $55. While we wish we could do this for free, we are fundraising for an absolutely wonderful organization. We also need to compensate the venues and facilitators.

I can't afford the class price. Are there Scholarships available?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, yes. Please contact us to inquire about attending a class on scholarship.

How do I buy a Scholarship for someone else?

Accepted Answer

Bless your heart! Thank you for contributing to someone else’s wellness and empowerment. For every event we will have a Scholarship ticket type that you can add to your cart. Any unused scholarships for an event will be automatically rolled to the next event, or directly into the fundraiser.

I can't attend, but how can I still donate to the cause?

Thank you so much for helping us reach our goal! We have multiple ways for you to donate directly to the fundraiser: Every event will have a donation ticket type. We have a group fundraiser on Instagram. (must be opened in app) We have a donation form on our website.
